Applicants must have passed the HSC or equivalent examination in 2023/2024 and the SSC or equivalent examination in 2021/2022 from any recognized Education Board or Open University in Bangladesh.
Students from the Humanities, Business Studies, HSC (Business Management), or Diploma-in-Commerce groups must have obtained a minimum GPA of 2.50 (including the 4th subject) separately in both the HSC/equivalent and SSC/equivalent examinations, with a combined total GPA of at least 5.50 in both examinations.
Students from the Science group and those who have passed the HSC (Vocational) examination under the Bangladesh Technical Education Board must have obtained a minimum GPA of 2.50 (including the 4th subject) in the HSC/equivalent examination and a minimum GPA of 2.75 (including the 4th subject) in the SSC/equivalent examination, with a combined total GPA of at least 6.00 in both examinations.
Admission test mark distribution
The admission process will include a separate admission test for students from the Science, Humanities, and Business Studies streams at the higher secondary level. The test will be conducted in the MCQ (Multiple Choice Question) format, carrying a total of 100 marks.
Candidates will have to answer 100 questions within one (1) hour. Each question will carry one mark. The merit list will be prepared based on a total of 200 marks. This total will include the marks obtained in the admission test, along with 40% of the GPA obtained in the SSC examination and 60% of the GPA obtained in the HSC examination.
After calculating these scores, a subject-wise merit list will be prepared separately for each college. Based on the merit position, students will be allocated subjects according to their preferences and eligibility.
The passing mark for the admission test is 35 out of 100. Candidates who fail to achieve the minimum qualifying score will not be considered for merit list placement.
This structured evaluation process ensures a fair and transparent selection of students for admission, taking into account both their academic performance and their admission test results.
